Club Safeguarding Officer Training 2020-2021

Club Safeguarding Officers are vital members of the club and key to making an environment safe, welcoming and friendly for children to enjoy the game of cricket.

ECB Safe Hands Workshops will run in advance of the 2021 season via an online webinar due to Covid-19

The above course is for both ‘NEW’ and ‘EXISTING’ Club Safeguarding Officers, so is the appropriate course if you are completing the training for the first time or undertaking a your 3 year re-fresher.

Please register using your full name, as it appears on your DBS certificate and ensure you register using an email address that is unique to you.

If the courses are full (max of 50 allowed) please keep checking the website as new dates are being added every week.

Is your CSO Compliant?

Training for a Club Safeguarding Officer comprises of THREE elements:

  • ECB Safe Hands for Club Safeguarding Officers (Certificate dated within the last 3 years)
  • Safeguarding & Protecting Children in Sport (Certificate dated within the last 3 years)
  • Valid/Current ECB DBS Check (Certificate dated within the last 3 years)

All 3 elements must all be in date at the same time for your club’s CSO to be complaint. The ECB Safe Hands Workshop and Safeguarding Course are two different things to avoid any confusion.
