We invite the Cumbria Cricket Family to show their support for Every Life Matters’ World Suicide Prevention Day on Saturday 10th September.
In a show of support, clubs and leagues are encouraged to take a minute of silence before any fixtures or events taking place that weekend.
As Every Life Matters, a Cumbria-based charity promoting suicide safer communities and bereavement support, point out: ‘Our county has had a suicide rate well above the national average for too many years, and it is our belief that everyone in the community can have a part to play in suicide prevention.’
As part of the push to end the stigma, Every Life Matters are running several FREE online workshops through the next few weeks to raise awareness and help you provide support.
The workshops are fully-funded for those living or working in Cumbria.
If your Club require any resources to help support the day, please contact Neil.Swainson@CumbriaCricket.co.uk
