Vacancy – Women & Girls Development Officer

Cumbria Cricket Ltd is welcoming applications for our new role of Women and Girls Development Officer.

The successful applicant in this exciting new role will work to help us grow women and girls’ cricket across Cumbria, during an exciting period for the game.

This is a part-time (24 hours per-week), fixed-term position for a 12-month period, with the potential to be extended for a further two years subject to continued funding.

The salary for this role is £24,400 (pro rata to £15,240), plus expenses, with the opportunity to enter into Cumbria Cricket’s pension scheme.

Our new Women & Girls Development Officer will drive the female game within the county. Women and girls’ cricket is currently thriving, and has seen continual growth in recent years which has resulted in the formation of a Tier 3 women’s team for this season.

Our focus now is to maintain this growth and embed women and girls’ cricket within the fabric of the game.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for women and girls’ cricket at all levels: ranging from developing new initiatives, supporting clubs and schools, through to coaching and developing players within a talent pathway.

Our successful applicant will work alongside other team members to lead the continual development growth of female cricket across Cumbria with an emphasis on:

  • Increasing the number of girls’ teams
  • Increasing the number of girls’ sections within our clubs and across the community
  • Increase the number of women’s teams
  • Increase the number of women’s sections within our clubs and across the community
  • Increase the coaching workforce in the female game
