We are proud to announce four players from our EPP programme are part of the new cohort for the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) programme.
The DiSE programme is delivered in partnership with Loughborough College and will see the players take part in the 18-month course.
The educational content will be delivered in Year 1 through four National Camps based at the National Cricket Performance Centre and at Loughborough College. The second year will focus upon the application of learning followed by re-profiling at the end of year 1 in the November camp.
The camps will be supported by online content and workshops. Between the camps, the players will be supported by a coach mentor, as well as one-to-one support from a Nutritionist and Psychologist. The aim for the player mentor programme is to assist the player to assimilate the learning and apply into their cricket building evidence of progression. Successful completion leads to a BTEC Diploma in Sporting Excellence that has 64 UCAS points.
Cumbria Cricket Head of Performance, David Fallows, said: “The acceptance of Grace, Scarlett, Blake and Sam onto the DiSE programme represents the fantastic strides we have made to re-energise the EPP programme in recent years. We wish them all the best in this amazing opportunity.”
