Following the great success of the Boys’ Skill Set programme last year, Cumbria Cricket is delighted to announce that Skill Set Sessions are now being delivered across the full player pathway – supporting both boys and girls throughout the county.
This winter, over 200 pathway players are taking part in the programme, focusing on establishing strong fundamental skills before the Christmas break. By developing core technique and movement patterns early in the season, players will be well prepared to advance and explore their game in the County Age Group sessions starting in the new year.
Sessions include work on:
- Strength and Conditioning for bowling
- Utilising run-ups to achieve optimal pace and rhythm
- Alignment and movement walkthroughs
The aim is to give every player a solid foundation, helping them grow their confidence, develop their game, and enjoy their cricket even more.
If you have any questions about the Skill Set Sessions or the wider pathway programme, please contact: David.Fallows@CumbriaCricket.co.uk
We look forward to seeing the continued progress of our players throughout the winter and into the 2025 season!
