If you’re a pathway coach, district coach or club coach, make sure you take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to work with experienced professional coaches, who will be on hand to help you work on perfecting your coaching skillset for bowling, batting and wicketkeeping through our Cumbrian Way coaching philosophy.
The Cumbrian Way philosophy has helped produce talented players for both county and international level.

We are thrilled to have such a fantastic group of coaches joining us for this event.
Stewart Davison
Stewart is head of the Girls’ Talent Pathway at Lancashire CCC. He leads the Academy programme and is Second XI Head Coach. He was previously Boys Pathway Manager at Middlesex CCC, played over 100 competitive games for Berkshire as a wicketkeeper, and is a Level 4 specialist coach.
Chris Laker
Chris is an Advanced Level 3 coach currently working across all age groups, emerging players, academy and pros at Lancashire Cricket. Having been a county age group player through to under 19, academy captain and Second XI player, Chris now supports the batting development and prioritises the various entry points to integrate capable players into the Lancashire talent pathway programme.
Danny Gilbert
Danny focuses on the pathway fast bowlers in the Lancashire Boys’ Talent Pathway Programme, working closely with the science and medicine team to help improve performance and reduce risk of injury. Danny is a Level 3 Advanced coach and owner of Fylde Coast Cricket Coaching. Having previously been a development officer at Lancashire, Danny has a wealth of experience across all age groups, including guiding the U18s to a shared T20 trophy and County Championship this year, as well as supporting the Second XI fast bowlers on numerous occasions.
Steve Chapman
A long time friend of Cumbria Cricket, Steve is currently the pathway spin bowling lead at Durham CCC. He brings a wealth of experience from his time both as a player and on the staff at Durham. Steve also spent time as their batting and spin consultant in 2019 and worked as a coach in the IPL in 2017.
