Format and prize money confirmed for Cumbria County Cup and the John Scott Cup

We are now able to confirm the format and prize money for our two competitions – the Cumbria County Cup and the John Scott Cup.

The details below apply to both competitions.

Format

The competitions will be The Hundred format.

Round 1

This will be a regional mini league format with a maximum of 18 sides per competition. The six mini leagues will be spread around the county with each side playing one home and one away game in an evening.

Clubs provide umpires.

To be played by 2nd July.

Round 2

The six group winners will qualify for two Regional Finals days. This will see the teams play each other once with the winners from each day going into the Grand Final to play the other Regional Final winner.

To be played by 30th July.

Grand Final

The Grand Finals of both competitions will take place on a Sunday and umpires will be provided by Cumbria Cricket.

Finals will be played by late August/Early September.

Finance and Prize Money

Teams can enter the competition for £20.

Rounds 1

The losing teams from each mini league will be awarded £10.

Round 2

The losing teams of the four Regional Finals will be awarded £100 each

Grand Final

The winner of each competition will be awarded £500, with the runner-up claiming £250.

The Man of the Match (amateur players only) from each of the finals will earn £100.
